Washington County Road Dedicated by Tribal, Local Officials

Cherokee Nation and Washington County officials stand on the newly resurfaced Durham Road during a dedication ceremony held recently. Recently the Cherokee Nation partnered with state and local officials in Washington County to complete much-needed repairs to Durham Road. The project rebuilt and resurfaced more than four miles of Durham Road, with the tribe contributing $275,000 in assistance. A busy road, Durham leads to a popular tourism and meeting destination, Prairie Song.
