All Business Loan Applicants are required to first submit a written Business Plan to the Small Business Assistance Center. The following outline is provided to help you write a simple business plan and to help ensure that you include all the information required of a complete business plan. Depending on your project, your entire business plan may not need to be more than 10 to 15 pages.
I. Cover Sheet
- Owner(s) Name(s), Address(es), Phone Numbers & Date Plan is Submitted

II. Table of Contents
- List each Section and Document of the plan and identify the page number(s) where each can be located.

III. Executive Summary
- Description of the Business
- Purpose of the Plan
- Describe and/or List Product/Service. Include your cost and how much you charge
|
Summarize the entire plan -- Briefly describe the proposed business, clearly state the amount of the loan you are requesting, and briefly describe how those loan funds will be used & repaid. Include a full Product/Service list here or in the Marketing Section of the plan.

IV. Marketing Plan
- General Marketing Plan
- Target Market (Quantity & Characteristics)
- Major Market Influences & Cycles
- Marketing Strategies & Objectives
- Competition Considerations

Include information which illustrates that INCOME projections {in Part VI} are realistic goals -- and reveal how you plan to achieve these goals. |
V. Management & Operations Plan
- Business Structure & Management Team
- Equipment & Facility Needs
- Staff & Labor Requirements
- Background & Experience
- Daily Operations & Routines

Include information that describes exactly what you need to begin, expand, and operate your business. Include information which demonstrates that EXPENSE projections {in Part VI} are realistic. Demonstrate that you are prepared and able to succeed. |
VI. Financial Plan
- Source & Use of Funds
- Capital Equipment List
- Break-Even Analysis
- Pro-Forma Cash Flows-3yr
- Pro-Forma Income Statements-3yrs
- Pro-Forma Balance Sheets-3yrs

Prepare detailed Financial Statements which clearly show all aspects of money to be borrowed, spent and earned by the business. |
VII. Supporting Documents
- Resumes
- Contracts, Leases, Letters of Intent
- Operating Licenses
- Quotes, Bids, Titles, etc.
